The internet (or at least the internet in my circles) was awash yesterday with news of the passing. HR Giger died. A unique artist with almost sensual yet obscure art perhaps brought more into the main stream by his work on the designs of the alien from the alien films and environments. A few of my Facebook friends actually knew him, and although a deep shadow has formed in his passing, it must be so deeply hard for the people who knew him personally, and helped shaped their future in art. Anyway I’ve posted this to both my blogs, since it seemed appropriate to morn his passing in both my 3D art blog (here) and this one. Today a few images began appearing of the alien mourning Giger.
